“Our international Lifewater teams understand first-hand the devastating effects of water-borne diseases and know the health challenges caused by dehydration.”
About Lifewater
Lifewater impacts thousands of people in the developing world through safe water projects and education. Help us to do more and go further.
Where Lifewater began
From humble beginnings in the early 2000’s Lifewater grew into a project-based charity by 2012, working predominantly in rural areas of East Africa where water-borne diseases are widespread and a huge need for clean and safe drinking water exists. Lifewater distributes water purification kits which, when coupled together with locally-sourced water containers, provide simple and easy-to-use household water treatment systems (HWTS). These systems filter almost any source of contaminated water at the point of use providing safe drinking water within minutes.
Lifewater is still going strong
Moving forward several years, Lifewater has grown substantially fulfilling projects across East Africa. Thousands of families, hundreds of schools and health centres have benefited from receiving Lifewater systems and water education. Across Uganda, Rwanda and Kenya Lifewater has developed committed international teams responding to the challenges of a growing charity. Lifewater also partners with NGOs, local organisations and other charities responding to humanitarian disasters in countries around the world, including Haiti, India, Pakistan and the Philippines.
